Dr Alfeu Passanduca, from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane/Hospital Central de Maputo (UEM/HCM), has been competitively selected as a Fellow for 2021-2022 by the University of California Global Health Institute (UCGHI) GloCal Health Fellowship programme. He has been selected for this fellowship based on a review conducted by members of the GloCal Leadership Group and Steering Committee.
This award is for a period of 12 months, with funding beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022. He will be designated a “Fogarty UCGHI GloCal Fellow” and supported through the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM). In return for this award, he is expected to attend and participate fully in a virtual Fogarty Global Health Program for Fellows and Scholars Orientation & Training from July 12-16, 2021, as well as to spend a full 11-12 months at his research site in Mozambique.
