Henriator Namisanvu is a study nurse at the China Uganda Friendship Hospital – Naguru, one of the recruiting sites for the Empirical trial in Uganda, coordinated by Makerere University Lung Institute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BScN). She previously worked on a study on early detection and treatment of rheumatic heart disease among children and pregnant women.
As an empirical study nurse, her duties include obtaining informed consent, screening and enrollment of study participants, as well as performing other study procedures, such as: counselling of caregivers, data entry and follow up of study participants, which at times has required going to their homes.
When Henriator is able to get some time off, she enjoys spending it with family, travelling, and swimming.
